Criteria C - Creating the Solution

My Tinkercad Creations

1. Child-Friendly Mickey Mouse Syringe

Method

1. Starting from the bottom of this creation is the needle which I created by shrinking a cylinder so it resembles a needle like shape.
2. Next, I brought out a cone and shrunk that down and placed it on top of the needle, I also gave it the color red.
3. Afterwards, I brought out another cylinder and ensured it was much wider than the two shapes under it, this cylinder was colored red.
4. Although the cylinder looks like one, I actually piled two on top of each other, although with the same measurements but the second cylinder was colored white to make it seem like the syringe was half full.
5. Next, I placed another cylinder but I minimized the length of it so that it was a lot flatter. The color of this was also white.
6. Before I continued, I grouped it all together as the above are the main parts of the syringe.
7. Once those were completed, ensuring they were all aligned. I brought out a box and minimized it in both width and length so that it was a lot thinner. The color of it was also white.
8. Now for the part that made this a child-friendly syringe. To make Mickey Mouse, I brought out a sphere and colored it red and adjusted it so that it looked like Mickey's pants. I brought out two tiny white spheres of the same size as the buttons for it.
9. After, I brought another sphere but a lot bigger and of a black color to make it Mickey's head.
10. To top it all off, I added an extra 2, small, black spheres for the ears.
11. Finally, I grouped and aligned them together so that the syringe was now completed.

1. What are the basic shapes you used to create this product?

I used three basic shapes multiple times, a sphere on multiple occasions, as well as the cylinder and also the box, even though I only used that once, it was crucial in the creation.

2. What are the techniques that you have used for creating this product?

This was by far, one of the most easiest creations that I made, however I did use the technique of grouping it all together so they could all be aligned. I also used the multi color option when you group them.

3. What are the challenging things that you encountered while creating the product?

The most challenging thing was definitely getting them all aligned because they all had to be equal and right on top of the other which was very hard to do because sometimes the sphere would be outside the box and it was very frustrating.

2. Piggy Bank

Method

1. Firstly I brought out four cylinder of equal size and colored them pink. I aligned them so they were of equal distance and resembled four, piggy bank legs.
2. On top of it, I added a huge pink sphere and placed it right in the center of the four legs as the head of the piggy bank.
3. I brought out a cylinder but shrunk it to a very minuscule size to work as the snout of the pig. I inserted half of it into the head of the pig and the other half outside it so it resembled a snout.
4. Next, I inserted two tiny cylinders of equal size as the nostrils and placed them into the cylinder/snout and made sure they were equally spaced.
5. For the eyes, I first placed the main shapes, two green cylinders.
6. The complex part was the money signs popping out of it. I did this by bringing out two letters' S and placed two boxes that were adjusted so they resembled a rectangle and placed two in each of the S'. I then added the geometric shape called the round roof and shrunk that down to the appropriate size to go under the S. I made sure to group this altogether.
7. For the ears, I brought out two of the Parabloid shape and colored them pink to go at the top of the pig's head.
8. For the actual place for the money to go into, I brought out a sphere and made it a hole and placed it right at the center of the larger sphere.
9. To complete this all, I grouped the product together.

1. What are the basic shapes you used to create this product?

The basic shapes I used while creating this product was the sphere that I constantly incorporated in this, the cylinder countless of times to work as the legs and eyes and the rest of the body parts were shapes such as the Parabloid, the cylinder that I explained what they were used for in the above method.

2. What are the techniques that you have used for creating this product?

This was much more complex to make then the syringe. This was because I needed to use holes to work as the place to insert the loose change. The eyes were also required great knowledge of grouping shapes together and aligning them correctly.

3. What are the challenging things that you encountered while creating the product?

The most challenging things I encountered while creating this product was once again getting everything perfectly aligned since everything had to look equal. Another thing that I found difficulty in creating were the eyes since the dollar signs were quite hard to get perfectly right. I also did not end up creating the glasses as it would have been quite difficult to place on the pig so I settled on giving it dollar signs poking out of its eyes.

3. Bunny Phone Case

Method

1. The first thing I focused on was the basic shape of the phone case which was actually a box that was minimized and adjusted so that It was a lot thinner and longer in size.
2. Then I inserted 3 hole shapes that were originally cylinders, these shapes were used as the camera on the phone, the side buttons on the phone which you can vaguely see as well as the end of the phone which is where the hole for the charging goes.
3. Next was being more advanced with the basic shape which was adding in the curves. I used a much different method then what was supposed to have happened as I found that method difficult.
4. To make the curves, I found a shape that already had curves in it which was in the symbols category called the Tinkercad logo.
5. I added on the basic phone shape on top of the logo and shrunk it so that it was a tad bit smaller than the logo. I made both of the colors black so they could blend in together.
6. Instead of creating the peace sign as originally planned, I opted for creating a bunny by bringing out a sphere and flattening it and then adding two cylinders and adjusted them in length so they were much longer and flatter. The color I used was a warm peach.
7. To complete everything, I added them all together and grouped them so they were one.

1. What are the basic shapes you used to create this product?

The basic shapes I used while creating this product was the box, cylinder and sphere.

2. What are the techniques that you have used for creating this product?

While creating this product, I used holes and a different method of creating curves as the other methods I found very difficult. Grouping and aligning everything together so they all look equal and as one was another thing I did.

3. What are the challenging things that you encountered while creating the product?

The most challenging by far was definitely the curves because I tried countless methods that only brought back failure so I settled on something much easier, using a shape that already had curves and joining the two shapes together. I also did not end up creating the credit card slip as time was running out and it was another thing quite difficult to make as well as the peace sign since Tinkercad did not have the shapes to accommodate the plans in my mind.
